Hello Honda-Tech, I'm new to the forum. I've had my 97 HX for a year now as my dd. Sold my other cars and now i need to get a little more umph(sc)out of my beater. I'm looking for any type of performance exhaust, header, shocks springs/coilovers, upper strut bars, type r lip, headlights, nitrous kits, etc. etc. The Car is basically stock any kind of mods will be considered don't be afraid to ask. I will consider all reasonable offers. Have cash in hand, no bullshit, just want some quality parts in the washington area so i can pick it up or shipped to my door. I want as much stuff as i can get by the end of august, i work in a lab and will be working 28 days a month starting september. Sooner I get some parts faster i install the better. is there some reason you want to stay with the HX motor? sure it gets great gas mileage... but if you tinker with it it won't give you very much power and you WILL lose out on your great gas mileage.. if you want the biggest bang for your buck pick up a b16 swap... saw one here on HT for like 1300 full swap.. it would be a night and day difference and you'd be very happy... and as for the whole NOS idea... bad bad bad bad bad... cheater spray for number one...and number two... if you don't build your motor.. POP! lol.. so just do the easy thing and get a good motor... and as for suspension mods... i was say just get a good set of coilovers and get a bushing kit... that will let you handle leaps and bounds better than and strut bars will... and if your really into corners get some aftermarket sway bars.. mainly the rear... this is just my opinion.. other people might think differently this is just my .02$

 

I"m not exactly trying to go extremely fast, 14s would be fine for now. It's a commuter so i'd like to average 35+++ mpg. It's just so damn slow and boring. I'm mainly looking for an exhaust/header, some shocks and springs and a upper strut bar. I know little about nitrous but i'm sure a small shot (25-35) with added fuel would be fine for what little i'd use it.
