6th gen innovative mounts (buyer beware)
I purchased a set of mounts from innovative through spoolin. 98 accord h22 compatible. What they fail to mention is that they are compatible with the EURO R post mount on the timing belt side and not the US H22, which is a load a crap in my opinion! Out of everybody that owns an h22 here in the states, who has a euro r motor?!?!
I can't say too much as they were honest when I called and told me the truth. The truth is, the stock 6th gen accord uses the same mounting bracket as the Euro R h22 timing belt side.
Now they recommended me to purchase this engine post mount for the euro r h22 through PasswordJDM. Great...
Innovative this....

If they failed to inform that kind of thing about their product on their website, what are they doing to "fix" your problem? Can't they get a mount made for you that fits your application (and will fit many other customers to come)???
Did they take the "wrong" mount back?
Did they take the "wrong" mount back?
Technically they are not "wrong", in that the Euro R h22 uses the same post mount pattern as the 6th gen f23 motor, from what I was told by Innovative, hence only one bracket style.

But I don't know why they would design it off of that motor and not the USDM H22, I'm guessing someone had this Euro R H22 swap and they made the kit without knowing, or they figured hey the stock on lines up with the Euro R h22 so we'll label it h22 compatible!
They did say they would "probably" come out with a new bracket that would work with the regular H22's post mount, which is farther spaced out. I'm sure I could return it through spoolin, seeing how I haven't installed it, but I still want the mounts, just the bracket is the issue. I'm sure if there was enough "interest", enough for them to make money, they would do it. They didn't offer to send me one if they made it, just that I needed the post mount off the Euro R. Thanks for your concern.

Man, i honestly don't remember exactly where i've seen a thread similar to this, but the guy returned the mount and the mount that didn't fit his car, and the company made a bracket for him, also.. worked out for the company... because they now could make them and get more customers. Not sure which website i saw it... but i'm sure i did, i was surprised by the concern and willingness of the company to get his swap working.
update:
I have a 1998 Accord 4dr. 4cyl.
The front mount from Innovative does not look or fit anything like the stock mount that goes on the crossmember. Pissed...
Along with the drivers' side mount NOT being compatible with a regular H22 and only Euro R. The only conclusion I can come up with is, that this kit is made for a 6th gen Accord 2dr. with Euro R. Innovative really needs to put this info on their site.
Looks like this guy may have similar issues...
