I just started noticing that my clutch makes a noise when letting it out in reverse. It only happens after the car has been sitting over night. Then it does not make a sound the rest of the day. The sound is like squeaky brakes. Any ideas to what this could be?

 

my master cylinder started leaking and made that noise.

i replaced it with a cheapo and it went away for 3 days then came back.

it could be the master cylinder, slave cylinder, or the throwout bearing making the noise.

its more annoying than bad.

if it gets like mine, your clutch pedal feels "notchy" and then its really annoying

 

Anyone else have an idea?
