coilover lower mounts crossthreaded help
96 civic hatch, omnipower coilovers.
i went to lower the car the other day, and i discovered the right rear lower mount is crossthreaded (previous owner's shenanigans), thus denying me the ability to make any height adjustment.
what are my choices now?
coworkers have tried to clean the threads but there isnt really a thread cleaner that large.
it was suggested to me to just cut off 2mm or so with a bandsaw as only the first 2 or 3 threads are crossthreaded.
would any lower mount from generic coilovers (ksport, function and form, etc) work? i've emailed customer service from omnipower's website to try and order a new mount, but 3 weeks later still no response.
any help appreciated in advance.

You can try fixing the thread with some thread cleaners that dont have to go all the way around the coilover. They look like and work like a file but have 8 different thread pitches and allow you to clean up a variety of threads.
yep we tried that already, it was my first idea (im a tech at a honda dealership lol) but it didnt work, its crossthreaded BAD. i think im just gonna use a bandsaw to cut it.
this was my idea as well. just make sure you clean the thread after the cut so it starts easily. i'm sure you already knew this, just had to say it
