So, tonite, i went out and decided to see how well my worn engine (2000+ race miles on it) would do. the best ever is the 14.90@94mph... tonite, my best was a crappy 15.20@92mph with 2.4 60 footers on V700s (i can't launch the car)

As some of you know, i have a big "Drag Racing Sucks" sticker on the back of my car so that idiots stop trying to street race me when i'm traveling between tracks (maybe i need "Street Racing Sucks"). At a local autocross, some goofy kid saw this.

Well, this same goofy kid was at the drag strip tonite and has a hideous ricey CRX (altezzas, unpainted body kit, SiR badge)... but a quick CRX nevertheless (running 13.50s).

Lo and behold, this kid wants to race me. no problem, he was further up the line and i wanted to leave after being there for 4hrs and getting a whopping 4 runs.

We race and naturally, the ricer beats me (due to the fact he's turboed and gutted and i'm NA, gutted, and on autocross alignment)...here's the part that pisses me off:

The little kid has the nerve to toss his hazards on ON A DRAG STRIP. It's not like we were street racing! I lost 2 of my 4 runs tonite and have no quams about losing, just not to some cocky jackass who just wanted to prove his car is faster than mine.

Back in the pits, i ask him what the deal was and if he wanted to road race for $1000...he's quick to backdown and tosses some crazy "$1000 to road race, but $2000 to drag race".

Then i offered this challenge (which he also backs down):
- two races.. autocross/road race and a drag race.
- combine the times from the two events....lowest wins
- winner gets $1000.

he backs down saying he has bad brakes and it's a "Drag car" (drag cars do 13s? thought they were faster). Go figure. he easily had me by 2 seconds in a drag race, so i would have to make up 2 seconds either on a road course or an autocross and he backed down.


bottom line: I woulda been ok if he hadn't been an *** and tossed his hazards...considering he has a 13sec car vs my 15sec car.

How is it that only Honda owners can be disliked? Give me a break. We all have distain for "some" car owners.

The kid is just doing the brainless street signaling, indicating he is a "bad ***." Whatever - don't even acknowledge his existence - that's what he wants. The louder they shout about being cool, the more they aren't.

Oh, and how can you complain. You got talked into playing "their" game on their turf. See if the kid will come out to an autocross... that's would be funny to watch.

I know how you feel man. I drive a del Sol and will be moving to California in 8 months. I can just imagine the unglodly amount of Honda idiots out there.

oh my god...i was in the same situation a few weeks ago..i swear! sum jackass kid who occassionally goes to my church just bought a talon tsi awd turbo....i'm like koo...nice car...he turns around and says...ur car is junk..i'm like excuse me? he's like..turbo rules...i'm like...ok...first of all..ur 16..im 21..i'm not gonna mess w/ u...so i walk away..then he says...CLOWWWW. i'm like...mother....i turn around and say...ok...lets go...street tires to street tires....no nos...that light to that light...as is....1 g. he started to sweat and cry....then the crowd in the parking lot starting chanting my name...as i walked away...i heard sumone whisper..."he's too gangsta!" (ok...the last part mite've been a lil embelished) the point is...i hate lil kids talk trash....

 

Hmm.... well, at least you wre actually racng, I hate it when smeone puts there hazards on when they pass me on the highway an I'm going a steady 75...

its no big deal he put his hazards on. just means you got beat. why do you even care if your car is a AUTOCROSS car. he beat you at teh strip but you can beat him on a course track.

 

i hate 99% of all honda owners. driven dont feel bad they're mostly idiots anyway
