Default To anybody thinking about running a header with stock exhaust.

DO it! I just picked up a DCRH and am running it with the stock exhaust. I highly recommend

it. The car sounds more aggressive but not to loud. I was hesitant running the RH with

stock exhaust but i am glad i did it. Overall if you don't want a loud car, but want a little hp

increase do this mod. Totally worth it.

I got a damn good deal. A shipping company down here in San Diego had a brand new 06 ceramic DCRH for $200.00 I guess somebody couldnt afford to pay the shipping or whatever and they have been holding onto it for awhile now. I chose to go with the DCRH because i did some of the beta testing for COBB and guys running intake header and exhaust were dynoing around 200hp. Best $200 ive ever spent.

How much noticeable difference is the Sk2 header? That is a nice header!

If you care to keep your stock exhaust intact, for possible reinstall in the future, don't run a race header through it for too long.

Supposedly becomes "raspy" over time, but if that happens you can upgrade, or just buy a used axelback. They are cheap on the FS sections.

What sort of power gains do you see, just doing a header?

I'll have to go digging but I'm pretty sure Hytech has posted the highest dyno numbers so far, granted you have to pay 500 extra bucks and wait 6 months to get it.

Definetly worth it bro. Better throttle response and it sounds tight! Im also running COBB Ap and K&N sri so that makes a difference.

Is the sound obtrusive on the highway or is it subdued when cruising at 70 to 80mph?

it sounds stock when you drive like a civilized human being.
i just recently put my intake back on like 3 days ago
and my ecu isnt adjusted yet and my intake is really loud
so i have to wait for it break in again.
its usually a lot quieter than it sounds in the video.
i measured at 115 decibels
at 8k rpm
