ITR Tranny problem

Default ITR Tranny problem

so my tranny is making some wierd noise, when going at normal speed (65-80mph) it makes a zumb noise, there is no grinding in shifting is just that noise, is there anyway to solve these without changing the tranny?????

and also i have a 4.785 final drive her at home, but the question is there any rebuilt kit for tranny?? ones i open my tranny to install the 4.785 i want to fix that zumbuling noise it has, any sugestion????

Its the throughout bearing man, you do need to take the tranny off and change it.

One possibility. I'd also try some new transmission fluid, maybe it's the mainshaft bearings

if your gonna open the tranny, i would suggest new bearings and synchros. It could be your input shaft bearing making the noise, if it doesnt go away with the clutch disengaged (foot off the pedal) then it's not your throw out bearing. Are you sure it's coming from the transmission. It could also be a noisy tire or wheel bearing. if those things are ok, try coasting in neutral with the clutch engaged to stop the input shaft
see if the noise goes away
