he will actually need a mount specifically for changing it from an auto to manual because the automatic civics in that year actually have a slightly different tranny mounting bracket on their frame rail... he will also need shift linkage.

wow, I can't believe how many people still ask these questions. There's been numerous posts of how the conversion can be done. There is also an FAQ at the top of the forum section.
