1991 accord A/C problem
So i went out and bought one of those r134 kits to convert my girlfriends accord and hopefully refill her AC, and after refilling until the gauge read full it still ran hot. Car was running the whole time and was running for 5+ minutes before. Are these kits just sht? or could it be a different problem? Just wondering if anyone had the same issue before i have to take it to a shop.
If you did not evacuate system of old R22 and pull a vacuum before installing new R134 your AC will not work, and you are probably causing damage to your system. You cannot mix refrigerants. I suspect you did not pull vacuum as this is something you cannot do without a expensive evacuation pump. If you do not know what you are doing with A/C work, you will do more damage than good.
