Default I R Dumb Quick Question

I used to know the answer to this, but as I went to order a part, I stumped myself...

Do you refer parts from right to left as standing in front of teh car, or is right to left as you would be sitting in the drivers seat?

i.e. left & right fender?

Is this a standard, or just a honda way of doing it?

Passenger side/ driver side is the way I refer to it to eliminate confusion.

you do it from an arial view from the center of the car i think. so it'd be the same as from the driver's seat. right fender = passenger side. left = driver side.
