Default PLease Need Help Code 8

Im firing a code 8 I changed the dizzy but the code came back after I reset the ecu....anything else make a code 8 ?? its a dpfi to mpfi swap...would mixin up the white wires cause this code too?

thanks Im at work right now but ill be takin off soon to go double check the dizzy wiring....no other things I might need to check for a code 8?

y was there a difference in the distributor pinouts?? the more I thought about it y would the pin positions switch on the plugs?

Code 8 is TDC position sensor.

Should look like this at the dizzy:


Double check those wires and also the ones under the dash at the ECU plugs.

You asked if anything else would cause code 8 and I suggested you double check the wires as it;s either the wiring is wrong or the ECU is bad.

TDC wires are already ran for DPFI, hence why I said it would be an issue with the wires or the ECU.

I'v never swapped around the plugs like rywire suggests *shrugs* I ran the CYP wires and was done.

Also TDC can be thrown off by your timing not being correct also.
