ZC problems after sitting
Well i finally got my car back from the body shop...he had it for 3 months. It starts up fine but after warming up the car bogs down and smokes like hell(white smoke). After pumping the gas it will come back and stops smoking. Then after about 20min i get a code 1 (oxygen content). I did put the ZC 4-2 header on and i left the O2 sensor it came with on it. Can it be the sensor or PCV valve???
yuppp..my zc hates not being used!
when i got it..it ran like ****. but it ran better the more i drove it.
my zc also throws the code 1 since ive had it...tried EVERYTHING to fix it..nada
so i just deal with it

well it turns out the PCV valve clogged up, i bought a new one for $3 now it runs fine. I guess the oil was getting backed up then shoting back in and buring out all at once. Runs like a champ now.
hmm... if its white smoke, then i would think that ur head gasket needs replacing.
i also have a ZC (sohc) and i need to replace the head gasket on that too, not becuz it bogs down after its warm, but the white smoke is very obvious. I dont know about bogging down, but i can feel that the engine is doing alot of work to stay running.. my whole car vibrates a lot after the engine is warm.
