well i got pulled over for having a "modified exhaust" the cop said its too loud. i have greddy sp btw. i ordered the greddy papers and this is stressing me out. dang cops

 

greddy, go to their website print out the paper .. u gonna bump the police right a way in the court .. i got two tickets about my EVO .. no problem .. but my N1 >.< .. but anyway EVO is no problem ..

I keep the papers in my glove compartment at all times. I've only had to pull them out once when an ******* motorcycle/Traffic cop pulled me over and was saying my exhaust was illiegal.

Cops decide to be dicks, i be a dick back and show them the law as well as papers proving them wrong, making them look like a complete dumbass, especially in the area of where they are supposed to be in the right about the law !

I'm not sure about the laws in your area, but where I live the cops have to check the level with a decible meter if there were going to do anything about it. The cops that have pulled my friends over just let it go after realizing that they couldn't do anything. If you can show that your exhaust is legal then you should be fine.

 

i got pulled over once for my Border III.....he told me I wasn't allowed to change my muffler, EVER....

So I asked him if Midas or Speedy Mufflers were legal......since, you know, i'm not allowed to change my muffler...EVER...

Needless to say, he let me off

 

Man, I got a ticket earlier this year for my exhast. I have an Apex dunk on my lude and the pig said my ticket was for "having an aftermarket exhast" - not being too loud, annoying, or anything, just being aftermarket. I went to court to defend it, had a paper showing it was legal, which the judge didn't even look at, and then the cop changes his story and says that he could hear me from past 50 feet.... While I was driving, there were about 4 other cars around me and he can apparently tell it was me that was making the noise (this is down on a strip where everyone cruises btw). So naturally the law screws me over, and I have to pay the ticket. On another note, there were some domestics down in the area that were practically running straight headers and slicks, but do they get pulled over?? Nooo, Heaven forbid we get one of our own, lets pick on the imports. Ahh yes, discrimination at its finest.

 

i know! domestics are louder with their dual exhaust but they dont get pulled over. i knew i was gonna get pulled over coz my exhaust is shiny and the tip is big. i didnt have my papers with me so i was so mad. after they gave me the ticket 1 integra pass by and i told them they better watch that guy coz he is over 95 decibels! cops are so...

 

the greddy paper finally came! its just 1 paper i was expecting bunch of papers. oh well ill go to the court and slap this paper at their faces

 

hehe get this.... i got a smog violation ticket when i was parked on the side of the road!!! I had a greddy PE at the time and the cop i guess decided to be a dick. Imagine my surprise, finding a smog violation of all things on my windshield coming out of class.
Well I took it to court. Since there's no way he could hear my car, the law saying that you can't modify an exhaust to be louder is obviously void. The only thing the cop really could have seen or would have noticed was my muffler.... so I pulled out the CVC that defines what a muffler does (used to reduce noise, no mention of smog)... of course then I thought that it would be obvious that the smog violation was full of crap... but still the judge sides with the cop, but says that I didn't do anything wrong ..... so guilty with no fine....

i went to CHP sign off my N1 ticket, i put my stock exhaust back to my prelude already. cops said that it's aftermarket exhaust because there are two exhaust lips on the exhaust .. i said .. i told him it's ORINGINAL from honda .. he got .. while he looked around my car, got a excuess that the tint windows .. so that i have to go other CHP see what's going on ..

Cops are so gay, instead of doing there job which i thought was fighting crime they pull this bullshit. It also pisses me off when they set up speed traps to pull people over for goin 5 over the speed limit. I know every police officer you ask will deny this fact but its true....Cops always pull people over close or at the end of the month because they need to meet a certain deadline of people they need to give tickets to per month, and they do it at the end of the month because they are lazy bitches during the start of the month so they need to get on the ball at the end to meet the deadline.

 

thats true they have to have a quota or something so they work their a$$ off on the end of the month pulling people over for unneccesary things like, um ur tint is illegal, ur exhaust is too loud wtf???!!!this pisses me off

 

i hate that 50 foot rule.
harleys, semis, diesel trucks...etc etc etc...i can hear these vehicles over my exhaust, and from a long distance away too. but i never see or hear of them getting a ticket for noise violation

 

they probably watch so many street racings and fast the furious. they are stereotyping the import cars

i wanna go out and buy a greddy exhaust just so i can shove that piece of paper in their eye when they pull me over... god i hate cops.. and yes.. they are biased about imports.. i know of some people who have domestics and got pulled over and the cop just wanted to know what he had under the hood and ****... but if they see a japanese fixed up car...its hammer time!

4. they decided to be dicks and pulled me over and told me "you have a modified exhaust sir, its too loud" the fact that i shifted at 2 rpm all the time. freaks! i didnt have my paper that time but still!!!!!

 

it also depends on where u live... in my city there isnt too much crime.. so the police need to be occupied with something... tahts why they pull imports over and try to find something illegal on them.... i doubt the LAPD would give a **** if u had blue lights instead of yellow....

 

now i have the guts to floor my lude and be loud all the time. when i do get pulled over...show the paper and make them look that theyre stupid
