Hey guys,

I got a 1996 accord lx that is in need of a new power steering pump and possibly an alternator. I wanted to get your opinions on the best place to get parts. A chain such as auto zone, advance auto, napa, or should I just wait for the shipping and buy online. Also I need the names of some good brands.

My friend always has raved about that site, pricewise and service wise. He isnt into any 'car scene' and he found that site on his own. I come on here and i see it around a lot, its a good site for sure.

 

I think I have heard of rockauto before but i do not know of anyone that has bought from them. How reliable are the parts they sell? What are they like on returns? I assume to get the old core back to them i need to ship it but will they reimburse me for the shipping or am i stuck with the bill?

SUPPOSEDLY Napa has better parts then other auto stores. My uncle who is a mechanic says he uses Napa parts when he fixes/replaces parts that are a PITA to get to.

 

napa is better but god dam more expensive

 

never had any issues with rockauto.. honest prompt shipping, very good return policy, and no hassles...

the shipping isnt cheap, but it is fair..

that said, sometimes you just have to hit honda specialists for certain parts.. for everything else (besides oil filters and plugs which I prefer to get at advance auto) there is rockatuo
