Default drag vs greddy part 2

ok enough with the talk.. I'm trying to decide on 18g greddy turbo or the drag.. on my b20 hatch.. smog is not a concern.. money is not a concern.. I'm not drag racing.. mainly autox and roadrace.. dont give me ideas and theories.. I want numbers..

horse to the wheels
1/4 times
0-60
dynos
street races
highway race
just number no talk..
thanks

ok maybe I didnt make myself clear.. I dont want ur opinions.. I want wat kind of numbers the two turbo will give me on my b20 hatch

for example drag kit should produce about 230 or at the wheels for the b20
anyone dynoed their motors and have numbers they want to share

autox? none of the above. all-motor so the power comes in when you expect it to.

and if u roadrace with a Turbo honda u better be upgrading the cooling system u ever seen what a stock honda radiator looks like when it's pushed to the limits for a 30min or 1 hr session =P but the greddy will respond better since its a smaller turbo compared to the larder T3/T4 which could give u a tad to much torque steer =P I'm rambling don't listen to me get that GT30 turbo someone was selling.. now that is something for road racing..=P

Hey, you know what? Whatever you described above exactly what I've done with my Greddy Turbo. It took a while for me to accomplish all those and I'm actually thru it and still enjoying the fact that, I drive a Honda, it's turbo and it doesn't look that bad. I hope you now know that Greddy turbos aren't dyno queens but it does what is intended to do.

Here's a movie clip of me down @ Thunderhill Raceway last June.

Word your not asking for monster power go greddy, but get it well tuned if you wana road race the heat will be bad. Drag is as the name say's DRAG big power not good for handling.

Damn i usually dont get mad at people from their post, but if you want help you come here and get opinions, otherwise do searching yourself IMHO these numbers are easily found on the net. http://www.google.com

Sometimes the numbers arent that simple. If you are patient and persistent in doing searches, you can eventually get what you are looking for. It took me a while to get numbers on a d16 turbo set up, but now I have a sense of more or less what to expect. Also, since you have a B20 hybrid, there can be different variations, so coming across a similar setup might be hard.

Back to the top for you, maybe you'll get some useful info.

If you're stuck on GReddy vs. DRAG, and you autocross -- don't be stupid, you want the quickest spool possible = GReddy.

Then you say you race on the highway.. what do you expect these people to tell you man... the "magical" setup??? One or the other, quick and nimble spool (GReddy), or wait a bit longer for a harder pull (DRAG).

yeah man, seriously, i just cant imagine a honda engine, Especially a B20, running at pretty much WOT for a good portion of the time, That must generate soem serious heat, ... well anways, if u really wanan road race the car, ****, i never thought id say this, but get the greddy kit, it would be betetr for the purpose..

Forget the greddy kit!! Drag kit will be more then enough for you! Spool time isnt a big deal on t3/t4 especially on a b20.

b20 drag kit, revhard etc- my educated guess is around 12.8-13.2
b20 greddy kit - 13.3-13.7

The reason for the range is because, it depends on the driver.

well if you look at the top of the thread Onelam stated he will not build this for Drag racing so 1/4 mile times are not important..and the smaller turbo though not the best on the market from greddy will actually be better suited to autox and roadracing due to it's smaller size and less power it would make at WOT..though you can have the Drag or any turbo kit make minimal boost but what would the purpose of having such a large turbo, when you are only looking to use something smaller?

Well if you look at the top also, you will see he asked for 1/4 times. I understand that he isn't building it for the 1320, but I still think the drag kit or will be better. Once again, spool time will be very minimum on a drag kit especially on a b20. And on a side note, t3/t4 isn't considered a large turbo.

well it's all preference.. hahah I bet he isn't even looking at this thread =P but I hear what your saying .. but if I was going ot build a road racing turbo honda I'd use a true ball bearing T28 or T3 =P or maybe one of thos GT28 OR GT30s that someone was selling..but for the sole purpose of top end power the drag kit is hands down better than the limited greddy kit

yes of coarse I'm reading this..
here's wat I'll be doing with the car..
its toy.. I want to be the king of the road, king of the stip and king of autox..
i understand that each application requires different setup..

again most of is drive the car on the street..i go to the drag strip maybe once a month twice tops.. I hit autox every chance I get.. thats 2 or 3 times a month.. roadraceing.. never but i want to get into it.. or at least open track..
