Need Help!: Swapping H22A4 into 94 Prelude
Hey guys,
Newb here and sorry if this has been brought up before but I'm having trouble finding any info to help me out. But anywho, I'm doing a H22A4 swap into my 94 Prelude S which came with a F22 SOHC and I have the motor in already but I'm having wiring issues, I was wondering how do I go about with the wiring and what ECU should I use.
Okay to make the question easier, how do I do the swap or does anyone know where I could find the info I need?
Thanks for your time!

You will need all OBD1 sensors to be swapped over to your H22A4.You also need an OBD1 P13 ECU and OBD1 Distributor(dizzy). Use your existing harness and just run your VTEC and knock sensor wires. Its very simple stuff I had a 92 Accord and swapped a H22A4 and it did fine. I ran a P72 that was chipped for an H22. I would suggest getting the P13 though. Also ,on the P13 you will need to make sure all the stock EGR components and the knock sensor are hooked up properly as well. If your car does not have those parts, then you may have to run the P72. The items I am talking about are located on the driver side around the power steering reserve container and cruise control. Good luck!!!!!!!
Thanks for the response guys this is A LOT of help but let me just make sure I understand you guys correctly, you guys are saying to use the F22 engine harness and just wire my own knock sensor, VTEC sensor, IAB and just make sure the EGR components are set up correctly?
The reason you run a p72 on a h22 is so you can tune IABs but in order to do this the p72 has to be chipped with a h22 map since that ecu is made for a B18C1 not the H22a1/4
what would be the downfall of running the p72 i just ran the p72 and it runs way better with the p13 it runs ok but idkles like crap and it smells like its dumping fuel. sorry not trying to thread jack here

Okay guys did everything you guys mentioned but having issues with the distributor not lining up for me to bolt it down. Do I need to use a OBD1 H22distributor?
