Default Need suggestions for Suspension

Hey first off sorry I know this type of post is pretty redundant in this part of the forum...
I tried searching for other post, but can't really get an answer straight up.

Heres my situation, I have a 1998 Ek on stock suspension. I want to lower my car a bit on lowering springs but I don't want to give up too much ride quality. So I don't want to go past 2.25 drop. After some research I'm pretty sure I want a name brand spring on a semi budget (Dont want to go past $160) I am looking for pretty decent springs that I can use on my stock shocks/struts and last at least a year so I can upgrade shocks/struts later on.

Here are some springs that I was interested in.
H&R sport springs

Ksport GT springs

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/KSPOR...=p4506.c0.m245

Tein S tech.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TEIN-...=p4506.c0.m245

Skunk2

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CIVIC...=p4506.c0.m245

I need the springs stiff enough so I can put 5 people in the car and it wouldn't rub..
those are much list so far..
any help/suggestion/ feedback would be great!
thanks for reading.

First of all determine how low you want to go. If you want to go not below 1.5 you won't immediately need sport shocks. If you go lower you should combine the springs with sport shocks right away.

Best would be in any case to mount sport shocks right away especially if you want to carry passengers. Beware that if you go say 2.5 with progressive lowering springs and your car is fully loaded it will sink even further. Maybe you should consider going not too low or otherwise get linear springs but that would be a more complex setup.

Don't think there's much quality difference between the spring brands you name, maybe in finish. Personally I would go for either Tein or the S2 concerning the brands you mention.

go with the skunk2 lowering spring i put them on my ef and it rides very smooth not to bouncy. and they handle very good on turns. the tein is ok i just dont like the set up how the rear is lower than the frount. just go with a good name brand the ebay cheap stuff has a poor ride hince you get what you pay for.

Hey guys thanks for the feedback so far, but I think I phrased it wrong, I'm rarely rarely like once a month am going to have more than 3 people in the car. The reason I said that is a just in case (like Im the only sober driver to take 5 people home)
i know for sure I don't want to go past 2" drop since I'm going to use stock shocks/struts for at least 6 months.

I think I narrowed it down to either Tein S tech it drops 1.9/1.7
or H&R sport springs which drops 1.75/1.6

Then go Tein. Check this.

Pretty low though for stock shocks.

Yeah I'm pretty sure I'm going to go Tein, because it's temporary ability to use with stock shocks.. Do you know how they ride with stock shocks?

Depends on the state of your shocks. If they are in still good condition, it won't be (too) bouncy, otherwise it will.

Any case your OEM shocks will wear out much faster.
