has neone replaced the carpet of a 89 hatch???? i was thinking of gettin rid of the orignal and putting in red carpet, is there nething i need to know??? has neone else done this??? if so post pics

 

I've had my carpet out before. It's pretty easy, you just have to pull your seats, center console, and cowl linings and it comes right out. There are several places online that sell custom moulded carpets in just about any color you can imagine. I would't recomend trying to line your floor with regular bulk carpet, get the moulded kit.

 

Do *NOT* buy carpet from the company in a JC Whitney catalog. I bought some for my 87 hatch and the directions said that holes and stuff were pre-cut and that it was pre-molded.... Yeah right. It was a B!TCH to do! Nothing was cut and it was moded COMPLETELY wrong.
If you want it to look right, just buy some from a dealership. I know... d@mn expensive, but buying the BEST carpeting at the dealership is MUCH cheaper than buying some catalog's carpeting then finding out that it's sh!tty and having to go to the dealer afterall.
(I'm not bitter one d@mn bit! Not me!)
