My coil went bad lap 2 of Saturday's race, going to an external one now, I'm not going to let a B16 keep up with a B18C5 like that again...

Good video. I remember seeing the car out there. My father and I came out and spectated Saturday, leaving around lunch time on Sunday. It seems frustrating at times to be racing in a field of so differently matched cars. Some faster on the straights and slower in the corners and vice versa.

What were the other HC cars? I remember seeing the black CRX, the Accord, a H1 S2000, and a red H2 Integra, besides your Civic, but wasn't sure if they were all competing.

There was also a pretty greenish ITR with JDM front running HPDE who, judging by the avatar above, was 98SpecR. Good looking car man.

 

If I can ever get it together enough to get a license, there will be at least one rev-matcher on track in the SE.

Nice driving Shane, maybe next time we will get just SE guys on the podium instead of just two of the three spots.

 

From :50 to 1:00 is a good example. Watched on both my work computer and at home where I'm at now. The video is your hand moving to the shifter, then back to the wheel, then a second later is the audio of the shift.

Either way your videos are great. One day I hope to take a few laps around VIR.

did you let the video load first or watching it while its loading?

the file i have saved on the computer doesnt do that, maybe the transfer to vimeo is the culprit..

some left foot brake, some revmatch..... and no im not going to Nats

 

yea, i think the upload to vimeo is bad. but the point gets across.

 

I only left foot brake when I need to make minor adjustments midturn. Everything else is right foot or heal/toe when shifting. What's funny is that I left foot brake whenever I'm on iRacing (G25 wheel); not that a real car and a sim are the same thing.

I'll be at the Nats so I'll make sure to take lots of pictures.

 

I've seen your car out there quite a bit, and always say "man I hope that guy wants to do HC..."

You look quick out there, especially with that big rear wing haha j/k, I'm jealous because I have nowhere to mount one. You ought to get a comp license in October and come play in H2, it's lots of fun

 

sure you do. the west coast guys manage to put one on that thing. you may have to custom fab the mount brackets tho.
