Why are all the Turbo R's selling their cars??
This is something I've noticed on this board. Someone goes turbo then within a couple of months sells their cars. Or someone who does some serious mods to their rides sell them. Here are the reason I think they could be:
1. The power of the Turbo cars aren't what one had hoped for
2. A already turbo car has more potential, so you are selling the R for one
3. After all the mods (N/A or Turbo) the car STILL isn't fast enough
4. No traction
5. Trying to get out of te scene
So which is it guys. I scared to ever go turbo

I'd say most times when someone sells an ITR it's either:
a) They have their eye on a different car.
b) Situations in their life make selling the ITR a good move.

I don't know about them, but for me, whenever I have no use for something or something is broken, I sell. I'm afraid the latter may be more true in this case
yep us stunnas like to drag em...

. Where the heck are you getting this information from?An car with factory turbo doesnt always have more potential. It depends on the car. For instance, elipse GST or VR6. Sure you can swap out the stock turbo pieces and upgrade them with aftermarket ones...but its just the same crap. you need to manage the extra boost. So I do not agree with your statement.
On the other hand, the EVO 7's with that import package you were telling me about, sure im sure they give you 3 different baselines for running the car different ways, and im almost dead on sure that the high boost program will destroy that stock engine given the time...just like a high boost application will kill a honda block without it being built up.
I will tell you that if you plan on going turbo, or heavy NA, the reason people get tired of it is because they get used to it. AS they say, "Finished the project"

how are the motors upgraded exactly?
they may have less compression, but asides that its all the same stuff. you want to boost 2 bar on a dsm, youre going to need to upgrade.

i turboed my r last year, had it on for about a month till i decided to sell the r. i think that alot of people realize how much money they are spending, and then realize how much money they don't have, so they get out and sell. that's what i did. sold my red srd's, bronze volks, apex n1 coilovers, and almost everything else. when it came down to sell the r, i couldn't do it. i went through too much to get it, so i kept it. i'm now building all motor again but this time with cash instead of credit.

I'm turbocharging my R as we speak. Can't wait to finish it up on Wednesday assuming my WG is scheduled to arrive that day! I plan on keeping the car for the long haul, hopefully forever. I've never paid off a car in full before without trading it in, so this one is getting paid off for sure. Future plans include around 400whp, keep the car streetable, full interior etc. Ofcourse that won;t happen for atleast 1-2 years when the $$ is available. Untill then, low boost and good tuning will keep it running good and reliably.
