Koni Integra Shocks Work on 89 Civic Si?
Hey guys,
Got a quick question, can EG shocks be used on 89 Civic Si? If yes what needs to be modded?
I have some Konic Yellows with ground controls wanted to put them to use came off my old integra which I sold few years back..

the rear's will fit no problem. the front you might need the eg front forks. at least on the integra you do. i would assume it would be the same for the ef's.
Anyone with experience in this swap eg/dc koni shocks on 89 civic si?
I don't want to take everything and find out it doesn't work. I know the rears fit but am not sure about front..

well since the fronts on da's and ef's are interchangeable, why doesn't it make sense? you calling me inexperienced? lol. jk. jk.
EG/DC Rear shocks will fit on an 89-91 no problem.
EG/DC Front shocks will fit if you swap over the shock forks. But I believe the EG/DC shocks are a bit longer, so you may lose some suspension travel. Getting a pair of grount control top hats would help this though.
btw, I run this setup with revalved DC2 koni yellows on my 89 civic.

sounds good since the shock is taller how does it fit the lower part of the forks? Was it hard to put on the lower 17mm stud and bolt?
the EF forks are dimensionally the same as the EG/DC, except for the diameter of the mounting hole the shock fits into (EG/DC has a larger hole). It's the shock body itself that is a bit taller if I remember correctly. My particular koni shocks were shortened though, so they end up being the same size.
