sohc D16Y8 ??? type r???

Can i put a type r vtec solenoid on my sohc D16Y8, if so what would i need?

As 90Rexx already said, it will not fit. Only a d16y8 vtec solenoid will fit that specific head, no other D-series vtec solenoids (ZC/d16z6/d15z?) are compatible if I remember correctly; then again its been a koo minute since I've messed with a sohc. A type R pressure switch (the green plug) will fit...
