Default Tranny damage while driving, now leaks.

So i was driving and i hit a raised sewer cap in the city. I tore off a bolt and the casing from under the tranny. I also cracked a stiffener.

The stiffener is a simple remove and replace cause the bolt is still there and holding.

Its the small bolt that ripped off with the casing. Its causing a leak now and i don't know whats the best way to fix it.

Any ideas?

is the tranny cracked? you could get it welded but then you gota take the whole thing apart. maybe try jb weld or something like that for a temperary fix.

Tranny doesn't seem to be cracked at all. I let it sit over night and it leaks on the ground a small circle. So its still holding fluid pretty good.

Maybe from the impact the hondabond seal broke?

that sucks, it seems like you would need to rebuild that bolt hole so your case can be torqued right. but for all the work that might take you might want to try some easy fixes first, like JB weld maybe. you will probably want to drain the oil so you have a clean area the apply the glue if you go that route.

Yeah, i wanted to see if there was a better option before i JB weld it.
I really don't wanna pull the tranny if i don't have too, I don't have the time honestly with work and all.

I was just wondering though if the JB will stop the leak.

The inner bell housing may be cracked. I developed a small leak after my tranny made a funny noise, after I pulled my transmission I discovered a bolt from my release shaft fell out and chopped up my bell housing. here's a photo.

I would drop the tranny and investigate

Drain the tranny and clean very well, then stop by a local body shop and convince them to allow you to get a little 3m panel bond 2 part mix in some dixie cups, good for about 180 f, or some hysol 9360 2 part mix good for about 210 f and chemical resistant.
