Tranny damage, ran over something now leaks.
So i was driving and i hit a raised sewer cap in the city. I tore off a bolt and the casing from under the tranny. I also cracked a stiffener.
The stiffener is a simple remove and replace cause the bolt is still there and holding.
Its the small bolt that ripped off with the casing. Its causing a leak now and i don't know whats the best way to fix it.
Any ideas?

You can try three things, two are guarenteed fixes.
1 find someone that can tig weld and if they can tig the crack in the casing you should be good as long as nothing is knocked up inside of the casing. This is assuming their is a crack and its not leaking because of the missing bolt.
2 find a blown trans and swap your internals over reshim the diff.
3 new trans or used trans

The bolt that broke out of the casing is one of the bell housing bolts that seals the bell housing to the clutch housing. Start looking for a used trans of a blows trans
Yeah I would look for another trans...try and get one that may be grinding and not one that grenaded(might have case damage internally). Then just swap the cases over.

That is a bad idea. Every trans I've had come in with a problem and a repaired case, the problem has always been caused by the case repair.
Besides, its hard to seal aluminum because its expanding when hot. Contrasts when cold...
If you need special tools to swap the case then i might as well get a used tranny cause a shop is gonna bang me anyways.

Don't know what shape its in unless you can drive it before you buy it. There are alternatives to local shops @ their 65-90/hr rate if you can have some downtime.
