WTT: My del sol OEM leather seats for del sol OEM cloth seats-Wisconsin area
Hello,
I have in my del sol currently, the very rare OEM leather seats. They are in very good condition and also have a heater for the driver side. I am looking to trade them for a very good condition set of OEM cloth seats, preferably the red stripe ones, but willing to consider any color. I am just outside Milwaukee, Wisconsin, so obviously you would have to be somewhere where we could at least meet up in between, so no further than Illinois or Minnesota probably. You can PM me if interested and I can supply pics. Thanks.

straight up trade? i have del sol seats red stripe..about 20 mins north of you or you can just pay cash for mine and keep yours? whatever
Yes, the heater for the driver seat is aftermarket, but the seat covers are OEM, it was an option available at the time, you can even see the OEM foam under the covers. I can post up pics later, if you are interested, I would want to see pics of your cloth seats too.

Why do I have records from the Honda dealership that installed them then? If you are not interested in trading for the seats, please to not comment on my post, thanks.
The leather seats are considered a dealer option. They were available on many cars new from Honda.
Basicaly you would purchase a car and say, "I want leather seats". Upon that, Honda would hire a local business to reupholster the seats.
Remember there are FACTORY OPTIONS and DEALER OPTIONS.
So sure, you can't order leather seat covers from Honda using any part number, but it's still a dealer option. Dealer options seem to be less common.

The dealer leather seats are much more rare than the factory leather seats though.
OEM actually can refer to any part produced to be sold under another company's name. These seats were never sold as "Dover Auto Upholstery" seats (*anyone reading this please know that I know of no such business, it's only an example*). They were sold through Honda as an option. Just like Stanley makes some parts for Hondas (granted sold wth the car from the factory).
OEM is sort of a confusing word. Thus why it might be better to use "factory" or "dealer" or "aftermarket" as descriptive terms instead.
I get what you're saying though.
Either way, these seats are incredibly sought after.

Yeah, you guys are right, sorry I was being snappy before, you all made fair comments and people interested deserve to know as much as possible before they trade for them.
About selling them, I would probably want around $200 but I need seats to put in since they are still in my car.

And there is no way I would ship them either way, thats why I am trying to find someone somewhat local.
