I have a 97 civic ex with obx 4-1 header, test pipe, and Greddy evo2 exhaust. The car has this annoying buzzing sound when you go past 2.5k rpms, which sounds rediculous. I'd like to possibly get rid of the raspy/buzzing sound. Will a high flow cat like obx or magnaflow eliminate the annoying sound?

I'm looking at obx high flow cat and magnaflow right now. I'm leaning towards obx now, since it has 2.25 outlet. Which should I go with. The greddy exhaust is 2.25" piping.

would the magnaflow bolt up to the greddy exhaust? I think the magnaflow is stock diamater piping which is 2" I believe.

I've also read other posts that mentioned catco cat or random technologies, but those are a bit out price range I'm looking for, unless there are some deals out there.

 

The local muffler shop installed an OBD0 cat onto my 99 hatch for $80 if that helps.

I also found bosal converters, anyone run those?

 

It won't be under $200 but it should be a bolt on affair. Get SMSP to make you one for your application.

 

good stuff but over my budget. looking for something in the 150 range.
