On the jdm srd Recaros can you swap the rails from the driver seat to the passenger and vice versa?? I tried searching and came up empty handed. I just dont recall how the rails mounted on them.

Anyone ever done this? Or can point me in the right direction.

 

Yes, you can. I mounted USDM "driver" side rails on JDM DC5 driver seat, which allowed the recliner **** to be on the outside instead of right against the armrest console.

 

Im talking from JDM dc2 experience which im nearly 100% sure is the same as acuras...

but as the poster said above I think he is relating to the seat and not the rail..the adjuster is part of the seat.

Anyways, the rails are side only...they cannot be swapped from left to right as the mounting points so the floor are different as the inside (near the handbrake) are flat as opposed to curved to the outside mounting point.

So if you try fit a passenger side recaro rail, to the driver side, it wont fit. The seat will fit onto it, but you wont be able to bolt it to the floor

 

I should have been a little clearer, I am trying (or planning to) fit a passenger seat to a driver side rail. I'm getting a set of recaros and the jdm driver seat has the usual wear, so I want to swap the rails.

I just couldnt remember if the mounting holes on the seat were offset to each other.

 

Yes the seats are swappable from driver rail to passo rail and vise versa.

but driver rail cannot be used on passanger side and vise versa
