I was just at the dealer getting service, and I was checking out the RSX-S.
It doesn't have a strut tower bar!
All it has is this little tinny bar that goes from the towers to the firewall.
Weak!

 

Oh okay. my mustang has both. The one that goes to the firewall is called a "export brace".
I cant see how that wimpy little thing on the rsx does much though.

The export brace only came factory on "destined for export" mustangs..Hence the name. Unless you added it yourself, it only came with the 2 piece shock tower brace.

 

The size and shape...
Maybe its made out of some magical material.. oooo

Added it. Never heard about the 'destined for export' explination. I though all shelbys had them...

 

IMO, the car really doesn't need one. The towers are close enough to the firewall as it is. It should be just fine without. Unless is get a REALLY stiff bar...or stunnafie it with a DCSport one.

 

hmm... anyone else catch this?

 

either it has the tower bar or not itr's are way better

That is why Mugen sells a raised hood inorder to clear a striaght strut tower bar because no space between oem hood and top of engine. Bents bars never can give same max strength as going from Pt. A to Pt. straight bar.
