Doing a rebuild on my 95 GSR and have some parts I need/want to replace....

- Coolant hoses (off intake mani)
- Knock sensor
- Distributor cap and rotor
- Drivers side lower motor mount
- Key that the balancer pulley slides on...???..... flat on one top and rest is round (half moon style)

Would I be fine to just get these parts at Autozone/Advanced?

First parts I've needed to buy for teg so wasnt sure if the ones from there are "up to par" and decent quality.

 

oem always fits and quality took you this far(15 year old hoses). The extra money(negligible difference) is a tiny(read very tiny) amonut of a good quality "rebuild" job. I would buy a used OE knock to save a little bit. An aftermarket D mount as I call it is also a spot for potential savings without major quality differences, but the key, cap and rotor, and any coolant hoses, OE is the only way to go. I use NGK/ denso wires/ plugs because they are OE just cheaper from Advanced than from the dealer even at cost.

- Knock sensor (Omni Power makes one or OEM)
- Distributor cap and rotor (ONLY OEM, period)
- Drivers side lower motor mount (Get ITR OEM ones, a bit cheaper than GSR and stiffer)
- Key that the balancer pulley slides on...???..... flat on one top and rest is round (half moon style) (OEM)

Would I be fine to just get these parts at Autozone/Advanced? (NO)
