I bought a hatch without a/c and it came with a swap. Looking to purchase a full a/c. Do I buy it for the car or for the motor? Cuz the compressor has to fit the engine right? I just wanted to make sure.

 

What type of swap? I just got done doing mine. The only thing you need to buy for the motor is the bracket to bolt the compressor to the block. Other than that you need to get everything for the car.

 

It's a gsr swap. So I should get the compressor for the engine but everything else is for the car?

 

the whole ac system goes for the car... determining what kind of car you have will tell you what compressor you need.. if you have an eg you have to get a sohc compressor with either a B16A3 bracket or a CR-V bracket... if you have an ek i think you buy an EM1 compressor or integra.. not too sure but thats how we got our buddy's ac working in gsr'd ek

 

actually its the same for eg/ek, you just use a single cam compressor on either one with the pj7 or p54 a/c bracket from the del sol dohc or cr-v. and you use the condensor and lines from the chassis you are using.
