Default jdm ef9 seat recommendation

alright so i have some jdm ef9 front seats and all you guys know they bolt on to the 89 hatchbacks. Unfortunately i have the 91. I was wondering what is the best thing to do to make them fit onto my hatchback. Doing the pan swap or drilling some holes on the pans and just bolting them down like that?
I've read that doing the pan swap you mess up with the reclining and all that and i see that as a bad thing....any1 have any comments with either one..
meaning which is the best?

i would do the seat pan swap personaly i think it would be safer because its actually bolted up how it was meant to be. if you do the pan swap the wrong way it will mess with the reclining but if you do it right it will be just like stock. but i doubt it will mess with the recliner since there still ef seats your using. i did the pan swap with del sol seats and it turned out perfect.

well me and some other guy from ht did the pan swap on them yesterday
and it kinda messed up the reclining because their is no spot for the recline lever or whatever u call it... to be bolted on the pan from the 91 so it's just there..it works but not how i want it to be...you have to do some mod to it so it can be on there perfect...

take teh 90 seat pans recliner lever and keep it on the 90 pans and attach it to the EF9 back rest. That is how you keep the reclining working right. did them on my 94 LS seats into my last crx

I will try to when i go home for once haha

on the outer sides of the seats there is the handle for reclining the seats. Keep it from your 91 seatpan as it will bolt right up to the EF9 seats upper frame.
