B16B ECU
I am trying to figure if there is a way to pass SMOG with a B16B. I have read of people at least in the recent past being able to get away with running a USDM P2T from a 99-00 Civic Si and being able to clear SMOG. Does anyone have any input or past experiences.
Thanks
Thanks
I'm not sure how the smog stations are in oceanside, but over here, they tend to be lazy and not check the stamp of the motor. I'm sure witha good cat converter and the si ecu, you should be fine.
What car is the swap in?
I think the bigger concern is wether it will fail the visual for not being BAR'd and/or being a JDM motor, but that depends on the smog tech. If you can get passed that, I don't see an issue with emmissions as long as you have a cat.

So you're telling me there's a chance. I wonder if it would be any easier on base? I guess we shall find out. Thanks for the information though. If anyone else has any experiences with this feel free to give feedback.
