i have a 1990 honda civic dx it seems to have a bad oil leak comming from the side of the oil pan, started about a week ago when i went to check the oil and found that there was none dip stick was dry, i put oil in it immediatly and got it a new oil filter and oil change, the engine makes a weird nose now and now costantly drips, oil even gets all over under the hood of driver side, what should i do???

 

Sounds like you need a new oil pan gasket.
And it makes that noise because you drove it too long without oil.

 

U better fix that oil pan gasket.i would Spend $20. for the gasket than getten a new motor.

if its coming out near the flywheel or torq plate on the transmission side. it's a 8 dollar gasket and a one bitch to change. i dought he lost that much oil from a pan gasket. its probbably the rear main seal.
