91 Accord Oil Pan bolt strip
hey guys im new to this site, i have done all the work on my car and on my recent oil change, i noticed some dripping so this time when i tightened the pan drain plug tight and then all of a sudden it became extremely loose as i tightened it.
i looked at the drain plug and saw that the bolt is stripped. can anyone tell me what should my next actions be?
Thanks!

It sounds like its either the thread from the pan or bolt is stripped. Make sure its not the pan that is stripping or else you'll need to replace the pan.
Well even if it is the pan, you could try to heli coil it...now i have no idea how it works, but i know heli-coiling fixes threads and keeps them the same size. My friend used on on his dirtbikes oil pan threading.
hey guys! thanks alot for the replies, well the drain plug is def. stripped so i drove to my local honda dealership and bought a new one ($1.82) and when i took it out the threads in the pan looked ok, so i went ahead and put in the new plug and no leaks!! well when i looked at the old plug i noticed some of the plugs were flat.
...hopefully problem solved!!
