no i don't want to put turbo in my engine t is fine how t is. i want t to be quicker and faster. but the turbo cant do no harm with the 4wd cause you got the Toyota caldina with turbo GTT and that's a 4wd and the Nissan skyline also

you didnt make sense. i take it you live in europe somewhere? turbo or your stuck with it. adjusting timing wont do much for that motor unless you did turbo and differenet fuel

i wounldn't think so...it's just the transmission, if u swap another d series it should bolt right up...but then again i've never delt with it before....

how's the gear ratio on that transmission? compariable to the ex/si transmission? boost wouldn't b a bad idea, but imho i would rather keep it n/a, with some bolt on's unless u got plans for big whp, then boost it is..

What everyone is trying to say without saying it is that there isn't much you can do with ignition and timing on a stock motor to make it noticeably faster. If you swap with a B16, you will need a CRV 4WD transmission to keep 4WD, I believe. I don't know if it's actually been done before. Your best option is to turbo:
