i just finished my b18 swap in my 91 civic si, and bolted my hood back on and closed the hood. Then when i went to pull the latch inside the car, it felt like it was already open. So i went to try to pull the lever from under the hood, but i couldnt get to it. The hood is stuck and i think it's hittin the motor. Is there a way to get the hood open. Im in need of help.

 

Depending on how much room you have between your front bumper and the front bulkhead. You can try to use a long screwdriver to release the latch.

 

I've had that happen before, I just pushed and wiggled it until it freed up. Then i adjusted the latch. good luck

 

have someone try to open the hood while you pull the latch... thats what I have to do to mine

 

You may also need to pull the release lever out all the way, then slip a finger in behind and pull on the cable some more.
If you have decently long arms, you should be able to do this while lifting the hood.

 

if all else fails...take the front bumper off to ease your troubles

 

x2...But also try pounding down on the hood where the latch is at while your buddy pulls the inside latch.
