94 delsol B16 intake manifold.. there is a small plastic piece ..Square on top and it looks like it funnels down underneath..

I would apprecate it if anyone could identify the part and its purpose.. Is it necessary?

Mine is obviously broken on the bottom.. I need ot know if it is necessary to have and if so, how do I remove it correctly?

That's where your PCV valve connects to. But you do need the PCV valve to connect to the IM and to the bottom of the oil reservoir(I don't know on top of my head what that square thing called below the IM). So, you need the proper hoses to connect that, but you could relocate where you want your hoses to be tho.
