i got a free head and wanted to know if i can zc cam into a d16a6 head will it create any power? REASON because the zc head head valve guides are shot burns oil so if anyones let me know thankx

 

im going to go ahead and say no. zc is dohc, a6 is sohc...wont work

 

i'm sure he meant the sohc zc, which i'm going to take a wild guess you were not aware existed lol. from what i understand its virtually the same as an a6 cam so realistically i don't see it making any appreciable increase in power.

 

you could swap out the valves/valve springs from the zc head though. if i remember right they are better then the a6 valves/valve springs.

 

thank you my dude, ok now the a6 head head that im running now has a cam from a d15b2 head now im guessi8ng if i take that SOHC zc cam out and put it in my a6 head i will have a full a6 head head right? im pretty sure i will get the full power out of my a6 head right?

 

Yep, ZC is the EXACT same thing as a a6.

 

its not EXACTLY the same. and you need to make sure youre using a MPFI ZC cam. the difference isnt much, just a bit more lift on the intake side, so youre better off with the ZC cam.

 

either way it'll be better than the b2 cam you have now.

 

WILL A ZC cam bolt in and run fine in a stock d15b2? with the 1.5 cam gear on it
