Tsudo N1 Exhaust
I am interested in getting a Tsudo exhaust for my EJ but im not sure how to hook it up to my headers. The text reads: WILL FIT 92-95 HONDA CIVIC 2D 4D, 96-00 HONDA CIVIC 2/4D EX OR SI COUPE MODELS ONLY, WILL NOT FIT DX OR LX, IF DX OR LX WILL NEED EXTENSION 30 DOLLARS EXTRA. I was just wondering what extension they are referring to. Is it the resonator right after the header (test pipe)? And if it is then when put together correctly, is it suppose to have the test pipe before the resonator in the picture below? (Outlined in yellow.) Thanks in advance.
First i would strongly recommend AGAINST this exhaust or any other cheap exhaust I.E. tsudo. they sound terrible and are raspy beyond belief. To each their own though it is up to you just my .02
To answer your question I need to know what year your car is. I know you said EJ but i don't know whether it is EJ1, EJ2, EJ6, or EJ8 which would give many different options.
The extension piece is for the 96-00 DX/LX/CX models with the d16y7 in them because they use a manifold mounted catalytic converter. The extension piece takes the place of the would be converter if it were an EX/SI model.
If you have a 92-95 civic, you will not need the extension no matter if it is EX or DX.

I have a 2000 Honda civic LX with a D16Y7 which would make it an EJ6? Note that i want to use this exhaust with an aftermarket header and test pipe so the manifold mounted cat will be removed. So I would presume that i don't need that extension piece, correct? Thanks again.

I have this same exhaust on my car and everybody says it sounds nice and i even had a guy that drives a mustang say it sounds good
You need to use a cat so that you don't get a CEL.

BTW... Tsudo exhaust sucks. It's an eBay exhaust with a "name" on it. Sure, it will work. Will it sound good? No.
P.S. the part you have outlined in yellow is the end of that pipe that connects to the S-bend. The other end of that pipe is the beginning of the catback.

Tsudo is garbage. If you're drawn to it by the cheap price, save your money and get something higher quality. If you want a cannister exhaust you should save up your money and get an Apexi N1 or my all time favorite, the Hks HiPower. 500 bucks each but they're not eGay brand and won't look and sound like *******.
