yes but there is also resale and reliability to consider.

the h22 is known for to many issues and has frm lining which is a bitch when rebuilding.the h22 swaped vehicles also always sell for alot less which is my main reason for choosing the itr motor.

are you planning to build the motor? for a DA i think h22 would be better cuz you need the extra torque since DA's are heavy. ITR would be nice but too damn expensive. but like i said if you're planning to build it then i would say h22.

Never heard someone complain about to much torque.....lol

the whole over steer concept is a myth.

Bang for the buck the H22 is a much more desirable swap.

B18C, but I never had experience w/ H22A. H can be tuned for high torque high power NA, but there are definitely more options for the B-series. One of the most tunable motors in history is the Bseries. Plus it really depends on what car it is going in and what you want from a motor in that particular car. The C5 though is a rare B and parts are pretty expensive. I voted B, but I'm leaning toward H.

I tuned my B, and it has too much torque, the tires can break loose during take off (light throttle, 1000-1500rpm) it only has 125 wtq on a Mustang Dyno. This is suppossed to be a daily driver.
And I think you guys mean to say understeer, not oversteer, am I right?

if a tranny is connected to it

you can get just the engine for 2500 all day

the jdm b18c anyway, real 18c5's are hard to come by since so few are floating around. most the time the jdm engine is lower mile anyway.

^^Yes, barely heavier than the C5.

As many others have said, you would be much happier with the c5 or a jdm b18c at the least

That has to be the funniest crock a **** statements I have ever heard on a PERFORMANCE forum.

Even my B16 had more torque than your "tuned B" and I never had issues with too much torque. It was a gutless little pos that had to be spun to 9K to get the teg moving let alone spin tire. Maybe you should stick with a D15 next time?

At one point I had similar views to most of you in this thread then I owned an H22 for myself and put my teg into mid 12's with a STOCK h22. I'll never go back to a B.

To the OP, think about how many of these guys have experience owning an H22 before you consider their opinion.

Man there is some absolute horseshit in this thread. Lemme guess, the H22 will cause the car to be too "front heavy" and cause the car to not be able to daily drive properly too?

The H22 has more power and torque from the factory, PERIOD. That's all there is to it. Mate it to the right tranny and you're set.

Just STOP. Please. C5 is rare? B parts expensive? They're all pretty much interchangeable. With basic NA builds, hell even turbo builds.....they make just as much **** for the H as they do a B series.

haha, wtf?! too much torque? tires breaking? first off you can never have too much torque. i'll take torque over hp anyday. also, your tires prob bald or you have bad suspension. get better tires buddy. funniest **** i've ever heard...gonna put this in my sig.

i swear, freaking noobs think the h22 is heavy. the only reason it mite be is becuz its in a prelude body. motor to motor is prob around 50lbs more.

to the op, you can get a h22 and turbo it with the money you would spend on a itr.

had an eg hatch with a stock h22 block and head @15lbs made 410whp tuned on chrome and 93 pump gas... daily driven and it was a blast never had any issues except for some axle binding which idk if an integra would have that same problem or not

^ haha.

H2B would be the best overall for price and performance.

It would cost less than a full ITR drop, and you'd be faster if you got a GSR tranny, and MUCH faster with a B16/ITR tranny.

I did have an H22A with an M2B4 in a DC2 GSR. That car was ****ing wild for full bolt-ons and tune. Although rumors said it was built.(I got the car on a trade, and everyone local knew the builder) I revved it to 10K twice, and had no problems.

So, I'd definitely go with an H22 motor, whether you use a B series or H22 trans. Although, now that I have an H22 in the car it was meant for, I'm not impressed.
