Default JDM Headlights and Inspection Question

So I'm selling my uber-JDM '01 Accord to a local kid here in NC. The car has been registered in SC where there are no state inspections so I haven't had to worry about any mod I've ever done to the car.

But being the nice guy that I am, I want to make sure he gets a car that will pass inspection here in NC. My question is will my JDM Stanley headlights/corner lenses make the car fail since they don't have "DOT" stamped on them. My guess is that they will but if anyone has direct knowledge, please chime in.

Don't bother posting if you "think" or "guess" or "have a friend....." blah blah blah. I'd like to know for sure before ponying up for a new set of knock-offs or whatever.

Thanks y'all

Ok, I live in a state where it does matter.

1) Is it illegal? Yes it is, and you can get a ticket for it (I personally have gotten one)
2) Can you pass inspection? Technically no, but most states only inspect to see if your headlights/high beams work and not the "DOT" stamp
3) Will it be an issue? My guess is no, I wouldn't worry about it

meh, I'm only worried about passing inspection. I've had them on there for 6 years with no issues. Thanks for the info.

I'll let you know what happens on Friday

"Non-DOT Approved Equipment - Fog lights"

I've got the ticket saved in a folder in my filing cabinet if you want the actual code violation. I didn't get it for my headlights or signals but the retard cop hassled me for the fog lights (DEPO at the time)
