For Sale or Trade: 1997 Acura Integra Type R (needs some TLC!)
$6700 CASH
****Note, this is not a perfect condition ITR and can use some TLC
Reason for selling:
I am about to turn 22, graduating from my university a semester early, and figure this would be a good move for me to sell now. I have the money to keep this along with my beater, but think it would be smart to sell both, get one car and use the money to invest in my future retirement/save for a home in the future. I most definitely will be picking up a new R to play with once I am out of school and build it the way I want. But for now, it would be nice to have a decent amount of cash along with a nice salary for a bit once out of school and provide me a better concept of saving. I would like to trade for a TSX or maybe even a GS300/IS300. Just something comfy for a while.
1997 ITR
number unknown, Doespike has it narrowed down to a couple of what it could be
miles: 158k
title: salvage/in hand
pros:
it's the best ITR of em all (97)!
burns little to no oil normal driving. made a trip from south florida to northern indiana and burned nothing
burns some in VTEC
new tires
aligned and straight
J's Racing intake
Currently has a spoon n1, jdm cat and b-pipe, and mugen gymkhana 4-2-1 header. May be putting the stock back on
cons:
before I left for hong kong, I stored the car at my aunt and uncles climate controlled warehouse in Florida. My deadbeat cousin ghetto-fabbed a pioneer deck in it and scraped up the front bumper by bumping into something. We are currently settling this family dispute now. That is the reason for the front bumper scuffs. He only drove it for a week and a half before my dad found out and took it back (what a low life!)
before i bought this car a few years ago, the previous owner installed a sunroof. it was professionally done and is functional. i did some research and it can be fixed many ways (new roof skin is about $500 from honda)
ABS light is on
dime size hole in the driver's side seat
clutch throw out bearing is making a 'whirring' noise. car will be sold with a brand new in the box exedy stage one organic (basically a OEM replacement)
junky 98+ rear bumper
chips on front bumper (look at pics)
basically, it would be a great track car or a great future project. Runs and drives fine and can be a slow project as there is no down time like a shell. Now, it is not perfect and I will be honest as possible with the buyer. I have been here for a long time, have met great people and I can get vouches
so, show me trades or shoot me an offer!

salvage. i heard word from the old owner that they hit a big deer. thats what it was replaced with front bumper, hood and the sunroof was installed (top was dented, big deer, lol)
i believe thats what the carfax says as well (totalled by animal). and that was very on in this car's life

this might be worth like 9 grand? no TSX is worth this.
Good luck with the sale, but i dont know what you are expecting.

not even 9 grand it has a r title... i say this will sell for maybe 7ish cuz of the front bumper and the sun roof.... gl with the sale tho i just sold my 01 turbo jdm front gsr for like 5500
Yeah, it needs some TLC... but not a whole lot. Not sure what you're looking to get for it, but its definitely still got potential. A litte paintwork, a 97 rear cover, and a new roof skin would take care of most of it. Its a shame it has a salvage title though. Oh well, bump for a 97 R!
guys, please. why does MY for sale thread need to get knocked by people? I never even listed a price in my post. Am I expecting 9 or 10 grand? Not at all. And of course I would put cash on top of a trade if i was interested
I am most likely going to accept one of the offers after the weekend and get it all prepped for a cash sale rather than a trade
thanks guys and get those offers in!
