well got a 97 hatch with a b16a2 from a 00 SI including a/c system...well turn on the a/c and it doesn't work meaning the compressor works I see the clutch engage on the compressor however the lines don't get cold or anything and the air feels like its only coming from the fan.. I already tried adding some freon but didn't work, what can it be? Texas weather sucks at the moment so can someone help me....

your compressor might be bad...maybe a bent valve or head gasket problem not enabling it to actually compress.
just a thought for you till you get those readings.

oh I see...i'll get those readings tomorrow, also car works like a champ no smoke, no oil leaks, and motor is running strong just tuned today with neptune..so I know the gasket is good and valves are good..
bent valve or head gasket issue meaning inside the compressor not your actual motor.
your compressor is basically a small motor with pistons and valves and a non replacable head gasket. like a cute little rc gas motor if you will. there are plenty of varieties of compressor motors...some look like rotories motors, some are like turbochargers swirl effect. im unsure on teh exact style of a/c compressor that is on the civics but the general rule applies is that it is like a small motor.
so i take it your enjoying the tune? lol dyno'ed tune or street tune? what numbers you got?

yeah condenser fan works, also notices that when I rev the motor it kind of starts to blow cold...might it be the valve that goes inside the heater box or something like that?
how do you know that you have enough freon in the system if you dont have gauges? also if your compressor is kicking on and cycling normally that means your electrical is all ok.. i would either say its low on freon being that it gets cold at high idle,.. or your compressor is bad..
