Default Changing your timing with a UR crank pulley?

Hey folks,

Has anyone changed their timing with an aftermarket crank pulley installed? Specifically an UR pulley?
The reason I ask is, I wonder if the timing marks are accurate?
I would like to advance my timing but I'm not sure if I can rely on the timing marks on the crank pulley.

Does anyone know?

I run a UR crank pulley, I believe they are the same as a stock pulley. I used a digital timing light when retarding/advancing it and it seems to line up.

Only thing about the UR pulley is it doesnt have a TDC marking.

Actually, the ONLY mark is has is the TDC mark. so you will need an advancing
timing light to read timing.

oh sure, now I'll probably find out I've done something else wrong - maybe I should switch to beer instead of daquiri's when working on cars!

Note: I always thought 10-12oz of rum in a 32oz blender was a nice ratio! It also fits in one cup for me to carry around my neighborhood from garage to garage (came in handy Saturday when I missed the screwdriver with my sledge & hit my thumb..hehehe)

I had to renotch mine for the correct markings. The marks are WAY off, the same with my friends with a single pulley. Not sure why many are like that.

Yeah, some are off though I've found that the newer ones are fine. The timing mark
on my 2 UR pulleys are right on. <shrug>

I took mine off, put back the stock one just today.

The difference I felt is it revs a little quicker. I did a baseline a few months ago with aem cai/dc jdm/skunk stage 1 (untuned) and ur crank pulley got 174.5/122.5.

Reason I put the stock back on is just because of the timing marks.
