Default MDX questions

my mom is looking to buy an 05 or 06 model so I'm wondering what common problems these have or what recalls they been subjected to as well.

do they share a body frame or drivetrain with any other honda/acura product for parts procurement in the future??

that way I can just buy a honda a/c compressor for it instead of a $$$ acura one lol.

Default Re: MDX questions

MDX = Pilot. Which sort of equal to the Odyssey.

Recall on the transmission on 2004 model. It adds more lube for the 2nd gear. Pilot did suffer some transmission failures, but not as widespread as the old Odyssey. Not sure if the additional transmission cooler on Pilot (MDX) is the difference - which the Ody don't have.

Not sure about other model years. On the Odyssey, transmission codes have changed, so one would believe Honda update (improved) the transmission since.
