what is need for a JDM D15B longblock swap?

Default what is need for a JDM D15B longblock swap?

1) what parts do i need to do the swap and about how much?
- how much is the most shops will charge for an auto to manuel swap?

2) what is better, the d15 swap or gsr?

1) What car are you putting this in? Also, shop around, you will find D15B long blocks for $400-$500

2) GSR swap is better, but could confuse the living **** out of a newb. Also if you are in SoCal and your car has a D-series in it now, good luck getting the ref to sign off on a B-series swap.

its going to be going in a 2000 ek9, and if i get the ref to sign my swap then i can get it to be legal?

If you want to get the car signed off by the ref it will need to be a "stock replacement" motor for your particular vehicle according the California smog laws. People have gotten some crazy stuff signed for by the ref but it takes a lot of work.

I'd say your best bet swap wise if you are looking to get it reffed is a B16 from a 99-00 SI or 94+ Del Sol VTEC, USDM engine of course.

Good luck on this one, just do tons of research and maybe talk to your local ref before buying a swap.
