Honda Fit in HC5

I thought most people new about it...
Can you say "epicly slow"
A friend and fellow race drove it and said the first time he went into turn one at thunderhill he realized there was no need to brake for the turn..
I raced in H5 for four years with ECHC and NEHC. Two years with my Civic and two years with my CRX. Two National Championship wins later there is little to no interest in the class and therefore the move to H2. I put in a lot of time trying to drum up interest in Honda Challenge at regional races with other clubs as there are a handful of H5 cars out there driven by talented drivers who could make the class a lot of fun. After the start of the 2006 season when H5 seemed to be going somewhere the season went to hell with drivers loosing interest or cars breaking and no new drivers showing interest. Several rule requests were submitted to allow existing H5 cars to run lighter or make modifications to that would allow them to be competitive and run in H4 but they were all denied. The fast car to run in H5 is also a 25 year old car now and parts are hard to come by and it's not popular with "the kids". Any newer options that could run in H5 were no match for the 1st Gen CRX and it was easier to build an H4 car and go faster. When Honda Challenge moved to the Spec Toyo this also drove off interest from drivers who raced in more then one club as well as the lack of size selection from Toyo.
