Default What surprises me about all these stolen vehicles are..

.. that most of them have a basic or no alarm at all. Seriously, go into any thread that had their car stolen and the owners will reply with "no alarm" or "basic alarm".

People have money to buy all the new little upgrades for their car (which must be worth over a grand at least) but yet people can't even shell out $500-$600 for a 2 way page alarm with a stealth install.

And then when they finally regret that they had their car stolen, they say "next time I'm doing a stealth install." Lol

I don't like to make my vehicle sporty because it make stealable and that lead to theives. I have a basics alarm in my vehicle 4 years and never got jack isn't looking like ricer or too flashy. Peoples who like to sporty their vehicle like ricers should put an expensive alarm.

Every time I see a stolen car thread I'm the one to ask what security measures were in place. People expect a removable steering wheel to protect them, some reason.

very true that all the stolen car threads have basic or no alarm. if you are dumb enough to drive your car on those expensive flashey rims, with all those jdm parts, with your swap, loud exhause, and that super clean paint job then you are dumb enough to get your car stolen. there is no point to daily drive your ride with all of your expensive details and parts exposed. save it for the meets to show off. there IS a strategy to avoid getting your honda stolen. gotta be smart and not think you are only cool if you have aftermarket rims instead of some stealies. it IS good to be stealth looking even if your fast...(sleeper)...but i guess showing off is more important than keeping your ride to some ppl. funny...

Biggest and best reason is that most people do not know whats out there as far as security. Alot of people do not know about back up battery like the dei 520t or gps or stealth installs. Most find out when its to late.

That would be me. Club and Autolock wasn't enough, and I knew that. Just didn't have the time to get a stealth install done.
