is there any place that can get them? I need 1st + 2nd. I was told I couldnt use USDM synchros since the countershaft is different on the 4.7 FD.

 

Yes. You can use USDM synchros. Order for any B-series VTEC trans (92-00 B16, 92-01 GSR, 96-01 ITRs).

Synchrotech (formerly Gearspeed) is the most common aftermarket synchro supplier. Or any Honda/Acura dealer, though they will typically come with the sleeve/hub sets.

 

Just as Honda Bull said..they are the same.

 

uh, hang one a minute.......don't think B16 used the double synchro second gear setup

 

^^^ All large shaft (94-01 hydro and 92-93 cable GSR) B-series VTEC trans utilize the dual cone 2nd gear synchro.

LS does not. And the LS uses different 3-4 pieces for synchro/sleeve/hub/shift fork.

 

There for Id have to use GSR 1-2 gears, correct?

 

B16 Hydro(or cable YS-1 only) & GSR use the same exact synchros
