has anyone in here ever thought of instead of buying the 5 lug conv, just unpress the old lugs, weld the old holes. drill whatever bolt pattern you want and repress the new lugs in. i seen vw's doing this in my searching.
why not just drop the money for some 5 lug hubs? by the time your done messing the stock ones up, and have to replace them, you would have saved yourself alot of time and headache by just doing it right the first time.
^ I coundn't agree more. The cheap becomes the expensive.
I think it would be a bad idea. the saftey factor is not there. If something would happen while driving and yeu kill someone over being to cheap to buy the right things to do the job right. but thats my look on it

to be very honest i like being 4x100. i have a friend parting a teg and as far i know all the hubs are still there. we have a good quality machine shop with fair prices. people weld and redrill rims all the time.

I'm unsure of your motive behind this though..
One of the biggest advantages of upgrading to 5 lug is the larger OEM brake setup, and the slightly wider rear track. You can re-drill the ITR rotors to 4x100, and run the ITR brakes.
If your dead set on the extra lug, for wheel selection or whatever, I would at least buy ITR hubs/spindles. The front will press right in, and the rear can be used with some modification. Check this thread (https://honda-tech.com/forums/suspension-brakes-54/5-lug-conversion-using-4-lug-spindles-front-rear-1978033/) I wouldn't use the Mazda Axle nut method for the rear though. I'm sure it would be safer to modify the trailing arm & bearing to accept the longer spindle, than to re-drill the hub.
When you start pricing everything out, it makes more sense to buy a 5-lug swap.
